Baby Bunny Road Pizza??

The kids were very disappointed to see that the carrots they’d left for Baby Bunny last night were still there this morning. I finally convinced them to go back inside for breakfast because Baby Bunny wouldn’t come back if they were standing right there. (That and poor Logan was strapped to the high chair waiting for more Cheerios…)

On the way in to work this morning, I passed by a critter that was not lucky enough to have gotten out of the way of some vehicle earlier on…I’m really hoping it’s not Baby Bunny! (Needless to say, I did not stop to investigate…in my glance while passing, it looked to be the right color, but perhaps a bit too big?? That may be wishful thinking on my part though.) The poor critter’s location was on the other side of the park down the street. Surely, Baby Bunny would not wander this far away from us…right? Perhaps that’s wishful thinking on my part as well… (And stop calling me Shirley.)

Keep your fingers crossed that Baby Bunny is okay. I’ll keep you posted!

…With a Chance of Showers.

Potty training is going pretty well. Maggie has gone for a few days without any accidents! And she even poos in the potty. I’m so proud 🙂

Burke doesn’t like to poo in the potty. At all. Lemme tell you – this is a fun stage. oy. He’d gotten pretty good at peeing in the potty and had even interrupted one of his “snits” to use the potty. Nice, right?

Today when I asked them both to use the potty before we went out to play in the back yard, he said “No. Pee in the grass. Like Daddy.” Uhm. I’m HOPING that he meant he wanted to pee in the grass standing up and not that he wanted to pee in the grass cuz he saw Daddy do this. (I’m fairly certain Daddy wouldn’t do this – perhaps in his former college days, but not now 😉 ) Needless to say, I didn’t let him pee in the grass. (We do have a potty in the back yard though, and he peed standing up into it…)

Since he’s been peeing “like Daddy” for the past few days, there’s no guarantee that he’ll hit his mark. I don’t mind that he wants to stand (it’s actually pretty cute), but it was definitely a bit neater when he would sit and “push it down.” He also thought it would be fun to pee on the rug yesterday. at my feet. naked. while company was here. *sigh* Sure – he hits THAT mark.

This time I have a series of pictures.

For my Dad’s 60th birthday party, we had an “incredible” time. The twins were just 3 months old, and my Grandmother was still with us.

Way Back When-esday

Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts this one.

This is when we first got the Sit-n-Spin (or Sit-by-Spin) in 2006.

Wheeeee!

Wheeeee!

I Forgot One!

I can’t believe I forgot the one picture I was looking for when I took the pictures off my camera. Oy.

Anyway…while Pop Pop and Mop Mop were visiting, Burke and Mop Mop spent a lot of time lacing. Very carefully lacing – to make sure it came out just right.

Eleven Kids Under 1

That’s how many were at our BBQ today. Let me restate that. Eleven kids under the age of *one*. Plus 7 kids between the age of 1 and 3.5. And then 17 adults. (One of whom is 35 weeks pregnant – with twins.) What a crazy fun time! 🙂

Here, There, Everywhere

Mike’s a part of the Dad’s of Twins spin-off group of my Mom’s of Twins club, so he invited them all to a BBQ at our house. (They have about 25 members as opposed to the 250 members in the mom’s club…so it’s do-able.)

So Mike did his typical: Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Kielbasa, chicken, asparagus, beans, and potatoes. And the other families brought side dishes and desserts.

I’m happy to report that we did not lose a single kid! LOL And there were no major injuries. And only a few minor melt-downs (Logan being one of them).

We heard a lot of thunder rumbling, and we got sprinkled on a little bit (so we gathered under the canopy and stayed pretty dry), but the rain mostly held off, and so did the lighting. Woo hoo!

I tried to get everyone…but it turns out that my aim isn’t that great. (If you’re not pictured – or if it’s just the back of your head, I’m sorry!! Also, if your twins are mixed up in the captions, please let me know…)

I had a great time meeting everyone and chatting about things. And I know Maggie made a friend…

I’m going to have to do two pictures again this week…so hard to do just one when you’ve got twins!

Anyway … these were both taken on the same day in June of 2006. I’m not sure what we did to put this face on BOTH kids…but I’m sure it wasn’t anything good 😉

Don't mess with me either.

Don't mess with me.

Don't mess with me

Don't mess with me either.

Success!

The twins did an excellent job with the potty training today!! An entire day in the same outfit…incredible. 🙂 Here’s to hoping we’ll have another day like that tomorrow.

The secret? Setting a timer for a half hour and having them sit on the potty every time it goes off. heh They’re both also getting really good at letting us know when they have to go. WOO HOO! Think of the money we’ll be saving if we can move away from 3 kids in diapers….

The Swing is Together!!

…but did I TAKE any pictures?? Of course not. I did not capture one minute of thier glee while sliding down the slide, or swinging in the swing, or sitting in the middle of the double-glider-type swing. Or when they figured out how to teeter-totter together…with Maggie waving each and every time she was at the top.

*sigh* Bad mommy 😛

Next step is to get a baby swing for Logan to put in the “trapese” place…cuz the kids couldn’t reach that anyway.
