Thursday Theater: Nice Surprise

I leave the digital camera down by the TV in our living room. My nanny, Jessica, told me that she’d used it to capture a moment or two … but I’d totally forgotten. Imagine my surprise when I downloaded what was there! It’s cool to catch a glimpse into the kids’ day when I’m not around πŸ™‚

(1 minute)

And a few photos to round it all out. I can only imagine that Marjorie was playing with the dress-up box and found her princess hat…and that Burke wanted one too, so Jessica made one for him πŸ™‚

These were taken exactly 3 years ago today when we were picking berries at a local farm. The twins were 1.5 years old.

Is It Just Me?

I read a lot. Well, let’s clarify that – I read as much as I can…which was a lot more before kids, but I still get a book in here and there now.

I’ve recently realized that I tend to “take on” the mood of where I’ve left off in the book. It’s only for a split second, but it’s there. For example, if I leave the book in a spot where the main character is in a snit, I’ll be snippy … until I realize “Hey! That’s not MY mood!” Seriously, it’s only for a few seconds with the first person I come across, but it happens. (Sorry, Mike!)

I suppose the same thing happens if I leave off when the main character is in a wonderful mood – but I don’t notice that as much, and don’t mind if I keep it πŸ™‚

Makes My Monday: The Three C’s

Nope, not the diamond ones (although, I guess that’s 4 C’s)…

Concentration, Cooperation, and Coloring.

We purchased a Color Me House from Costco yesterday…and watching the kids have SO MUCH fun with it makes my Monday. πŸ™‚

Baby Picture Sundays

Debi hosts the Baby Picture Sundays. Hop on over there to see who’s playing, and join in too!

This week’s theme is For the Love of the Sippy Cup. Boy do we have loads of those! Here’s a picture I took from a visit we had to Vermont last November:

We only have 3 kids. Really!

We only have 3 kids. Really!

I’m not sure why the cups got so out of hand here…

Anyway … Since we’re almost never without juice when we go places, I have various pictures of the kids with varying types of cups. We use the Take -n- Toss (of course!) – both sippy and straw – but our favorite ones are the Playtex Coolsters. They don’t leak!!! My brother-in-law picks on them because they look like the kids are carrying around travel coffee mugs, but I don’t care. πŸ™‚

Candid Carrie sponsors this one – head over to her blog and find LOTS of links for bloggers who’ve joined in! (You can join in too!)

Burke was feeling a little left out on Wednesday (Marjorie had a play date and he didn’t), so I took him to lunch on Thursday – just the two of us.

My first thought was “Man, this table isΒ  so small!” LOL

My second thought was “I should SO do this one-on-one thing more often.” We had a great time πŸ™‚

Thursday Theater: Kid Photographer

Burke has really enjoyed the digital camera Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jason gave him for Christmas. (Okay, it was really given to Marjorie, but Burke has pretty much taken it over).
Here’s his latest video adventures.
