Friday’s Fotos: Beauty Detour

The weather was really nice at the beginning of this week, so Burke, Maggie, Logan, and I went on a Beauty Detour in the back yard. (Fishful Thinking!)

Then Logan decided to get daring on the glider swing…which, of course, he *loved* every minute of.

"Look at me!"

"Who needs a seat??"

I’m trying to take a step back and not have a heart attack every time he does something daring…but it’s so hard!! heh 🙂

One Week To Go!

I am Celebrating National Mom’s Nite Out: the Ultimate Celebration of MotherhoodHave you heard?? May 6th is
National Mom’s Night Out!!

I’m so excited because I’m helping out at one of the ones in my area. I’m putting together 150 Swag Bags…and let me tell you…holy SWAG!! (I’m secretly hoping that I’ll be able to keep one of them LOL!) Oh hey – as I’m typing, yet another box has been dropped off at my front door…wonder what will be in this package…It’s like Christmas around here! I think I’m helping out that night as well, but I’m not sure what I’ll be doing yet.

I’m also excited because…it’s a mom’s NIGHT  OUT!! 🙂

The one I’m attending is sponsored by Land’s End and boasts (at least) the following:

  • FREE swimsuit fittings
  • Mini Manis
  • Mini Make-overs
  • Swag bags
  • Refreshments
  • Drawings every 1/2 hour

Where: Lands’ End Shop at Sears in Natick Collection Mall, Natick MA
When: 6-9 pm

Are you in the Natick, MA area? Come find me!!

If you’re not in the area, I bet there’s one in your area.

From the MNO website (www.momsniteout.com):

The National Mom’s Nite Out is the first nationally organized
celebration of motherhood Intended to bring together today’s moms,
physically and virtually, The National Mom’s Nite Out will unite over
150 social media groups, companies, local playgroups, mommy bloggers and mother social networks in giving moms a well deserved night off.

The evening will consist of local events held across the country, as well as mom-organized parties and virtual activities. To allow moms
everywhere to join in on the fun, mothers will be invited to throw their own mom’s nite out event by downloading party ideas and elements from The National Mom’s Nite Out Website. The night of the event moms can join in the fun through online chats, Skype, and Twitter tweet-ups.

Way Back When-esday

Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts this one. Go on over to see who else is playing – and join in too!

Five years ago, for my Dad’s 60th birthday party, we had an “incredible” time. The twins were just 3 months old, and my Grandmother was still with us. Today is my Dad’s birthday!

Happy 65th Birthday, Dad!! We love you!

Makes Me Smile: Shared Stickers

The other day, Burke held onto a sticker that he desperately wanted to give to me for about an hour. (I was upstairs working at the time.) When I came down, I was treated to a sticker of Flo from Cars.

I later went upstairs to take a shower, but didn’t want to lose my special present…so I stuck it to the little glass shelf above the sink.

Fast forward a few hours. I hear Burke upstairs working really hard at something. I call up to him a few times to come back downstairs and get “just a minute!”…he finally comes back down with a HUGE grin on his face.

I smile every time I go into the bathroom 🙂

Makes My Monday: Gone!

Yesterday, the Langone Bros. came over to remove a whole bunch of crap the previous owners had left behind. (This is actually the second time they’ve come out.)

They removed the rusty old fence that was starting to look like barbed wire – right at kid eye-level!! – and the falling-down old shed.

Look at how much space it clears up!

Here’s a picture of the shed waaay in the background…

Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts this one. Head on over to see what else makes people’s Mondays (there are always some really good ones!)

Baby Picture Sundays

Debi hosts the Baby Picture Sundays. Hop on over there to see who’s playing, and join in too!

This week’s theme is It’s a SHORE Thing. I figured I’d put up a picture from Last year’s jaunt to Vermont. (Seemed fitting since I’m trying to figure out when to go back this summer 🙂 )

Friday’s Fotos: Baseball and Playgrounds

I posted a picture of it last week, but I finally got my act together and uploaded a video of Logan “playing” baseball.

I also posted a picture of Burke at the playground, when he was really excited to show me his new trick.
