Since Debi isn’t doing the Baby Picture Sundays, and since I opted to do a Logan update on Friday…I’m putting up the “this is what we did this week” photos today ๐
Burke at the Park
.
.
Burke was very proud that he’d learned a new “trick” and couldn’t wait to get me to go with him to the park to show me. ๐ I have video as well…but I haven’t downloaded it from my Flip yet.

Giraffe on Logan's Head

Why can this kid sleep with anything on his head?? ๐

"I'm sitting here and I'm not moving."
.

I had a really hard time convincing Logan that he had to go back to his own booster seat. He SOOOO wants to be a “big kid” !!
.
.
.
"Look at me!!"
.
.
So the next day when it was just the two of us, I let him sit in Maggie’s seat. He was so excited!

Hangin' in the Giga Ball
.
.
Inside the Giga Ball has been a favorite past-time for Burke and Maggie. (They know not to roll it when they’re both inside.) Logan tried getting in with them but said it was “too busy” for him. LOL!
I took these a few days ago with my cell phone. The best (non-silly) one has red eye, but I’ll put up anyway. (I tried to fix the red eye with several different photo fixing software packages, but it just made her look like she’s got crazy eyes instead!)
Over the past week, all three kids have prompted me to run for the camera while they were sleeping. (There’s just something about a sleeping kid. )
As you know, we moved the twins out of their toddler beds a few months ago.
So glad we got Maggie the big bed ...
The kids get to bring their juice cups up to bed with them (with very little juice in them). It’s a comfort item for them, and we see no real reason to remove it.
Lucky juice cup...I like Burke snuggles too!
As I usually do, I went in to check on Logan before heading to bed myself and saw that his Mickey Mouse was on his head. And when I tried to move it to the side, he grabbed it – still asleep – and pulled it back over his head. Okay then.
I have a …strange… cat. He’s an orange guy…looks like a tiger, even named Tiger. He likes to jump in the shower with me if I forget to close the door (aren’t cats supposed to hate water??). He likes to pee in the bathroom sink (and sometimes more. *sigh*). One of his favorite spots during the day is right behind my laptop (I’m sure that the warm fan has something to do with that).
But the thing that takes the cake? He likes hair. Especially when it’s still on your head and smells good. If you’ve just taken a shower, he’ll jump up on the back of the couch and well, molest your head.
While here last weekend to celebrate Burke and Maggie’s birthday, my Dad witnessed this first hand.
"What's this cat doing to me??"
And the video to go along. Poor Dad was just trying to read to Logan ๐
Burke and Maggie attended a theater workshop at the same place Burke normally has his art classes. They had so much fun!! Since it was 3 – 6 year olds, the teacher focused on getting the kids aware of their bodies. So they each got a turn pretending to be an animal while the rest of the class guessed what they were, then they played freeze dance (a favorite of Burke and Maggie’s!), then they got the dress-up box out and pretended to be different people (Burke was a butterfly and Maggie was a princess – surprise ๐ ), and then they made masks out of felt. All-in-all, a good time!
Jumping to the Music
(Burke is on the left with the light blue shirt and green pants. Maggie is on the right with the striped shirt and the purple skirt.)
Having a Blast with Freeze Dance
I managed to get some of it on video, but I have to admit that I was chatting with the other moms and missed a bunch…

Maggie (or Mike?) had this great idea to spin one of their new tops … and then “catch it” in Maggie’s hair. Luckily, this didn’t end up in any disastrous top-stuck-in-hair scenarios and they had a lot of fun with it. ๐
"I caught it!"
You can see the fun in action (still lovin’ my Flip!).

This creche was handed down to me this year. It’s the one I grew up with … I remember playing with it for long spurts of time when I was little. I have it up on the mantle this year, but I hope to make it more accessible to the kids when they get a little older.
