If you're gonna shop anyway, I'd really appreciate it if you'd click through my links to help support the growing needs of ballet slippers, art supplies, and soccer shorts. :)
Debi hosts the Baby Picture Sundays. Hop on over there to see whoβs playing, and join in too!
This week’s theme is: It’s a Video Age.
As luck would have it, we just went to the Circus yesterday!
I even took some video! I love it when I have stuff that just fits right into the chosen theme π I’m going to put pictures in as well…just because I can.
Watching the Pre-Show
Clowns!
The Ring Master
WOOT!
HAHA! We're at the Circus!!
Mommy's Favorite: Tigers!
Elephants are cool too
Mommy and Marjorie
The Grand Finale
(About 3 minutes plus OneTrueMedia wrapper)
And to finish it out, here’s a video of Logan and Daddy having a blast while we were waiting for people to file out of the Circus.
No…that’s not the temperature today (although it feels like it!)…I think this is the personal decade where you realize that things aren’t quite what they used to be
Little things like…having to pluck eyebrows a heck of a lot more than you used to. Seriously, I never had to pluck at all until my late 20s – and only a stray one here and there at that point. So not the case anymore! And dangit – they keep sneaking up on me.
Or…weight control. In High School I had quite the bod (even though I thought I was fat then…if only I could go back and smack myself!) in my 20s stuff started to slip. 30s? Forget about it. (Although I suspect a twin pregnancy and then a singleton one has a lot to do with that…)
And then there’s the big things…like OH MY GOD I HAVE 3 KIDS!!!!
Or…home ownership and marriage.
What really blows my mind though is when I stop to think about ‘personal decades’ of people “way back when” … Seriously…it had to start in their 20s (and earlier!!) for people back then. There’s no way I would have been prepared for all of this when I was in my 20s. Hell…I’m not sure I’m ready for it all now π
Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts this one. Go on over to see who else is playing β and join in too!
Waaaaaaay back before yesterday, I had these two old things:
These two beauties (my birthday present from Mike!) were delivered yesterday afternoon…and have already gone through 4 loads of laundry. Woot!
The delivery guy mixed up the hot and cold hoses and my favorite wool socks are now a wee bit snug…but Mike swapped ’em back and hopefully I’ll get some new socks for Christmas! π
While I was up in Vermont (visiting my new niece!!), I noticed that my little sister was starting to wear her hair parted on the side. Which looks GREAT on her, just so you know.
I had also put a few old pictures up on my fridge right before we left for VT…and in one of them my hair looks GREAT … parted on the side.
I thought to myself, “Self – is it time to try the side part again??”
So…now I remember why I stopped doing it. Even though I’m having a fairly good hair day today (if I do say so myself), my neck is starting to hurt! I find that I’m constantly tipping my head to the side so that my damn hair falls away from my face.
And sure, I could tuck it behind my ears, but then the “fairly good hair day” isn’t as good…and that makes for terrible “next day hair” (cuz who the hell has the time to shower every day??). Why terrible? Because my hair tends to form to whatever binds it…ears, pony tail holders, head bands…you name it. So then I get all these strange loopy, kinked strands when I try to put it in a pony tail the “next day.” (or you can still see where the headband was on the top of my head…)
