Way Back When-esday

Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts this one. Go on over to see who else is playing – and join in too!

Scanned some more pictures today 🙂

I have no idea of when this was taken. And I’m told that it’s me …but it might be my big sister. Mom – do you know?

They don’t make these any more!! I would have loved a playpen like this for my kids – they both would have fit in it for a long time.

Okay, so I know that June 12th isn’t way back, but I was grabbing some pictures off of my Dad and Sue’s camera and came across this one…

Activities this morning reminded me of pictures from when the twins were about
15 months old.

I got my scanner humming again 🙂

Last week’s day at the carnival with the kids reminded me of my own week of Field Days in Vermont when I was little. Man oh man – the rides! the horse shows! the livestock competitions! the tents and buildings full of home-made and home-grown things! the tractor shows (we were made to watch…) The FOOD!!

I must have been 3 or 4 here? Maybe 5? (1978-ish??) Not sure. And geez – I guess my hair WAS as red as Maggie’s.

In honor of being in it for 2 years now, I thought I’d post a picture that I grabbed from the internet when we first started looking at the house.

The kids started their summer gym class today. In honor of that, I dug up last year’s first day pictures:

I’m not sure of the specific date for this one, but it was obviously not too long after the twins came home from the hospital…so perhaps mid-February, 2005.

Yesterday’s post made me want to go back and find the pictures from the twins’ first visit to the aquarium (their 1st birthday)…but I must have left my camera at home for that trip as well, cuz I can’t find any! (BAD mommy!!) So I’m settling for some pictures from June of 2006. The twins were 16 months old.

The date on the back of this one says December 25, 1980.  I think may have been where my love of writing began 😉

I have no idea when this picture was taken (1976? 1977?). But one of my fondest memories of my Grandma is snapping beans with her (although, if she were still alive, she’d kill me for posting a picture of her in her rollers *grin*). The beans, of course, were from the garden. We’d fill the big green tub up and then have at it.
