Way Back When-esday

This is from Easter 1981. I was 7 years old πŸ™‚

I ran across my crafting log the other day and thought “OH YA! I used to take a picture of everything I made! Why haven’t I done that recently??” So…I need to start hunting things down and start taking pictures again. (Alas, there are some that were gifts, so I’ll probably never get pictures of those…)

Anyway, these photos are from December 1993. I was a Sophomore at Clarkson University and I had just taught myself how to crochet! You get a two-for-the-price-of-one deal here…an old picture of me AND a picture of the sweater I made.

(And now I’ve just confused myself because the date in the book says December 1993, but I remember when this picture was taken, and I’m fairly certain that that’s the common area of my dorms Junior year. Perhaps I finished the sweater in 1993, but took the picture later on. Way to take notes, Nance.)

I’ve been doing some more scanning…

Clockwise from the left:

I can’t be too old here…so this is perhaps late October, early November of 1974.

My preschool – way back when – used to have field trips where all of the kids and teachers would go out to a kid’s house for a home visit. It was a neat way to see how everyone lived and to feel more comfortable with your classmates.

This was a home visit to our house! I’m not even sure I’m in this photo (unless I’m the one on Stan’s lap with my tongue out..?) It looks like we’re eating lunch. πŸ™‚

Since my big sister (pretty sure she’s the one in pigtails ) and my big brother (pretty sure he’s the one in the red jacket) are both in this…it’s probably before I was a student at the school. Plus, based on the wallpaper and the lovely linoleum floor…this was pretty early on. So…maybe 1977? 1978?

I have no idea of when this picture was taken. I guess I look like I’m right around 2? Perhaps this was taken in 1976?

In honor of Burke and Maggie’s 5th birthday, I scanned a picture of me on MY 5th birthday πŸ™‚

Nancy and Dad Working

Nancy and Dad Working

Apparently my one-on-one time with my Dad started really young! (He used to show me how to use a new tool every week.) I think this has to have been taken in late 1975 or early 1976? I don’t look much older than 2 here…
