These were taken the other day while we were playing in the back yard.
I have to preface this by saying that I got Logan dressed first…then Burke found a shirt to match and requested HIS overalls. Then Maggie saw the two of them matching and figured she wanted in on the fun as well, so she requested HER overalls.

We went to the Aquarium with my cousin Dave yesterday. The kids had a blast…Maggie wouldn’t let Dave put her down LOL
The pictures are pretty dark because, well, it’s the Aquarium and apparently there’s mood lighting. Plus – mom of the year that I am – I forgot my camera, so these were all taken with my phone.

Hiya 🙂
After the Aquarium, we met up with Aunt Cathy and ate at Durgin Park (YUM!). Dave took this picture as we were leaving to go home.
Our town holds a Memorial Day parade. And – holy convenience – it marches right past our street! All we have to do is walk 3 houses down and we’re in the right spot.

"Are you sure, Burke?"

(For you, Sue *grin* )
"Cool! We got a flag!"
"Parades are neat"
When the parade was over, we walked ALLLLL the way back home (tee hee) and hung out in the back yard.
We took the kids to the local Japanese steak house for dinner last night. I was a little worried about burnt fingers since they cook the food right in front of you – but it was all good.
The chef was very entertaining. And while Maggie did hold her hands over her ears while he was banging throwing the knives around, all of the kids definitely enjoyed themselves. They were transfixed the entire time he was cooking. He made lots of fire (a little scary, but cool), and a volcano, and other fun stuff. I think they were most impressed when he flipped the egg shell into his chef’s hat though 🙂 We all clapped when he finished.
Logan went to TOWN on the food. Especially the rice. The little guy couldn’t shovel it into his mouth fast enough LOL. Burke (a.k.a. Mr. Picky) tried things, and even ate more than one spoonful of rice…but didn’t love the chicken or the steak. Maggie was a pro with the chop sticks! (I think I could have been if they’d used a rubber band on mine too though 😉 )
And of course, all three kids loved the “fried” ice cream. (Fried? Really?? Seems to me that it’s just vanilla ice cream rolled in some cornflakes. We can do that at home!)
All in all – a good trip. Maybe I’ll take a tip from a friend and we’ll hit the Fondue place next time!

Today’s theme is “Here Comes the Sun.” My interpretation of this is: It’s finally sunny and warm out so we’re heading to the zoo! Or…We went to the zoo yesterday and I’m using BPS as a way to show off my pictures 🙂
We had a great weekend in Vermont. In addition to cooking with Nana, the kids got belated birthday presents, dyed eggs, acted like monkeys, went to church lookin’ *fine*, had an egg hunt, and made Easter baskets with Nana and Uncle Jason.

This week’s theme is Night, Night…but I’m going off on my own again. . . 🙂
Last week, I posted a video of Burke riding his new bike for the first time. This week, I’m posting videos of the kids’ second time out on their bikes. I moved the cars out of the driveway and made room for some circling. . . and circle they did!
This first one is all three kids (Logan on his tricycle). Burke and Maggie are really good at avoiding everything – I was quite impressed.

This second one is a little bit longer…and shows Maggie getting stuck – and then Burke helping her out. Too cute!

This last one is super short, but shows that it’s easy to go from being the helpful brother to a lil’ stinker within minutes 😉
Okay, maybe not every time…but it seems like most of the time when we make plans for the family to get together with our friends, one of the kids gets sick and we can’t go. I think I’ve missed out on seeing my Connecticut friends the last 3 or 4 times they’ve all gotten together because of this. I know with 3 kids the odds of one of them being sick at any given time (especially in the winter) is probably astronomical, but sheesh. It’s getting ridiculous!
We’re supposed to go to a BBQ with friends this afternoon, but Maggie is *so* droopy. We did a Costco run and she fell to sleep in the car on the way home. She never does that any more! She’s had a fever off and on for the past few days and her poor nose is still redder than Rudolph’s (and very sore!)
Tomorrow we’re supposed to go see the above mentioned CT friends…I’m seriously hoping that she’s better by then because I really miss them. It’s been a long time since we’ve all gotten together. . . or should I say, since I’ve been able to get together with all of them.
And I had to cancel Maggie’s very first singleton-friend-coming-over-without-a-parent playdate on Friday because of this ick she’s got. She was crushed. (She was pretty pissed about not going to school as well…)

It’s been a few weeks since I’ve played along…I’ve missed it! 🙂
These pictures were taken on Monday. I’d just gotten a package (the contents of my Giveaway!) that was secured with long, crumpled pieces of packing paper. We had much fun decorating them.
(Maggie didn’t want her picture taken…)
Yucky Firsts
Some other things that happened recently…
Maggie’s first nosebleed was a few nights ago. It woke her up out of a sound sleep and scared us – but she was a trooper and just sat with us until it stopped.
Logan was stung by a wasp a two Sundays ago…inside the house! We’re not sure where the thing came from, but it was crawling on Logan’s leg when I noticed it…a few seconds too late. The poor guy still has a red spot on his leg where it got him.
