If you're gonna shop anyway, I'd really appreciate it if you'd click through my links to help support the growing needs of ballet slippers, art supplies, and soccer shorts. :)
Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts this one. Go on over to see who else is playing – and join in too!
This one comes from 1983. I was in the 3rd grade and had just switched from a private school that closed (the teachers decided to get a divorce) to the public school.
A few things happened to cast me as Annie in the school musical of the same name: one of my private school teachers ended up being the music teacher at my public school, so she knew me; and the person who was originally cast as Annie moved away.
Now…before you get all impressed, let me explain that an elementary school “musical” is really just the music teacher assigning songs from the musical to the different classes and having those classes get up on stage to sing them in the right order. I just got to sing with more than one class (and may have had a solo or two 🙂 )
I’m happy to announce that Random.org picked Clarissa as the winner! Clarissa – please email me with your address and I’ll pass that along to the Fishful Thinking people to get your $25 Macy’s Gift Card out to you.

We had a great weekend in Vermont. In addition to cooking with Nana, the kids got belated birthday presents, dyed eggs, acted like monkeys, went to church lookin’ *fine*, had an egg hunt, and made Easter baskets with Nana and Uncle Jason.

If you follow my blog with any regularity, you know that Burke loves to color. Many times, when he comes home from school, the first thing that happens..? He takes his artwork out of his backpack and puts it on the fridge.
I was quite tickled when he showed me his latest picture:

This week’s theme is Night, Night…but I’m going off on my own again. . . 🙂
Last week, I posted a video of Burke riding his new bike for the first time. This week, I’m posting videos of the kids’ second time out on their bikes. I moved the cars out of the driveway and made room for some circling. . . and circle they did!
This first one is all three kids (Logan on his tricycle). Burke and Maggie are really good at avoiding everything – I was quite impressed.

This second one is a little bit longer…and shows Maggie getting stuck – and then Burke helping her out. Too cute!

This last one is super short, but shows that it’s easy to go from being the helpful brother to a lil’ stinker within minutes 😉
