This was taken on December 9, 1005…I’m fairly certain that it was one of the first times Burke and Maggie saw – and “played” with – snow. ๐Ÿ™‚

What IS this stuff??

Makes My Monday: A Pageant, A Nut, and A Tickle

There was a children’s pageant at our church yesterday. Since Maggie is the only one who will go to Sunday school – she was the only one in it! While Mike was at work, I took all 3 kids with me. Thank goodness I sat beside VP so I could sneak up and see that Maggie was okay in the front while leaving the boys with her. (She also took the following picture on my phone ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks VP!!) We didn’t make it through the whole thing, but we did get to see Maggie’s part.

Maggie's in the front behind the banister with a green dress and a blue scarf

Before the pageant, we hit Target and purchased a much-asked-for-after-Saturday-night Nutcracker. Maggie was dancing around with it this morning ๐Ÿ™‚

Dancing with the Nutcracker

And lastly, Maggie was a big girl today and got her hair washed before getting it cut…except that she couldn’t stop giggling because it ticked. Which totally cracked me and Ms. Hairdresser up.

It Tickles!!

Who knew I’d be talking about Maggie for all of those? ๐Ÿ˜‰ All three, totally Make My Monday.

Saturday Snapshot: Compromise

When you have boys and girls, it’s really hard to explain that some things are not really considered “right” for the other – especially when it obviously brings so much joy.

Remember Maggie’s delight with the pink fingernail polish? Nanny Jessica brought some sparkly purple polish for the cause. (It’s super cute!) And as much as Burke was able to resist the pink nail polish, the sparkly polish was just too tempting. We compromised.

Whose Sparkly Toes are Those?

"Mine!!"

I used to box my kids up. Actually – come to think of it, they still ask for castles and boats and tractors…

Baby Picture Sundays

This week’s theme is Love at First Sight.

Burke was definitely smitten…

Holding Logan

So…it wasn’t first sight here, but the grin says it all. And seeing Burke with Cousin Petra confirms that he’s just such a loving kid!! (most of the time ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

On the 3rd of December 2 years ago, we had snow! (This year it’s been in the 50’s the past few days. . . I’ll take it!)

This one was taken in November of 2005. Burke and Maggie were about 2 months shy of turning one. This is one of the first times we were able to capture Burke on film standing on his own!
