Dancing?

So, my older sister found/created this:

I nearly peed my pants I was laughing so hard.

Yep. That’s me, my sisters and my brother. Cathy has way too much time on her hands! LOL

Tiger no longer poos on the floor!!

(originally emailed to MMOTA group)

My lovely cat starting pooing on the floor when my (now) husband and his cat first moved in with me…after 6 years of trying EVERYTHING under the sun (I know … gross…) we found a solution!!

A little background: Tiger would always poo RIGHT outside the litter box – not random places around the house. It didn’t matter what kind of kitty litter we used, how many boxes used, or which of the 3 different places we lived in – this is where he wanted to go. We did resolve it for a little bit by putting a rug under the box (he won’t poo on a rug), but cleaning kitty litter out of a rug is almost as nasty (and we moved, so that option went away).

OKAY the solution?? Mike was in a rush one morning about a month ago and grabbed some of the clorox wipes we have instead of the usual cleaning supplies he uses to clean up. They happened to be orange scented….no poo on the floor since, and Mike wipes down the floor with them every 3rd day to make sure Tiger can still smell it! IF ONLY we’d known about this 6 years ago 😛 I think the key is the orange scent.

Anyway – I hope this makes someone’s life a little less pooey…and lets the cat stay in the house! (we were very patient with Tiger…my family thought we were nuts, but I just couldn’t get rid of him.)

Boys vs. Girls

(originally emailed to MMOTA group and family)

Ahhh the minds of kids. I brought Maggie a headband tonight and she loved it…Burke wanted one too, so we told him that headbands are for girls, not boys and went on to explain that mommy and Maggie are girls; Burke, Daddy, and Logan are boys. hmm. okay.

At bath time, Maggie put up a HUGE stink and did not want to get in the water. Cried the whole time…through drying off, getting PJs on, brushing her teeth, combing and drying her hair, waiting for daddy to get her taggie from downstairs.. .oy!

She FINALLY looked up at me with huge tears in her eyes and said “Maggie’s not a girl any more!”
To which a baffled mommy said “wha..? What did you say Maggie?”
“Maggie’s not a girl any more! Daddy took Maggie’s headband off!!”
whooo boy. She was sooooooo sad!

It’s not easy to explain to a kid that wearing a headband isn’t what makes you a girl! (we tried some anatomy, but I’m not sure she believed us…)

First Blog Post Ever!

…well, first ever for me, anyway.

I really never thought I’d be doing this…blogs scare me since I go back and forth thinking “oh my God, anyone and everyone can read this!” to “why am I writing something no one will read?” And I really feel like I should be starting each post with “Dear Diary…” heh 🙂

I really have no idea of where to start. Perhaps I’ll post some of the more amusing stories about the Zoo that I’ve posted to my Mother’s of Twins group.

I hope I remember to keep this up-to-date…which reminds me. I really need to add Logan to the Zoo website! (eh, it’s only been 9 months…la la la)
