Mike just emailed to let me know that Logan just wolfed down *4* hot dogs. And two fruit cups. WHAT?! How can this kid – who eats more than the twins combined – be so little??
I suppose with all this new walking, he’s burning through everything he’s eating at a faster rate…

A big thank you to Heather at Wanting What You Have for passing this one along to me. It means a lot to me since I read her (very honest) blog all the time.

Ten Honest Things About Myself:
I don’t shower every day. With 3 kids and a full-time job, I just don’t have the time to!
I go through life fearing that someone will “find me out” – that I’m not supposed to have a master’s degree, or that I shouldn’t really have the job I have, or I’m not really the person people think I am…Something like that. Not sure why, but there it is.
When I’m at work, I want to be with my kids. When I’m with my kids, I sometimes want to be at work.
I never feel like I fit in. There are lots of places that I go to where I have to remind myself that I really DO belong there.
My friends often use me as a reality check because I’m so honest with them.
I’m not a creative writer. Technical, sure. Autobiographical, well – you’ve seen that here. Creative, no.
I could sit on the couch and watch TV (with my computer so I could blog) all day. For days. And not be bored at all.
I’m a life time member of the Girl Scouts. There was a time in my life when I was embarrassed to say that I was in the Girl Scouts – not any more! I’m currently inactive though – stopped being a leader when I had the twins. I’m pretty sure I’ll be sucked back in when Maggie gets to the right age though. π
There are times when I wonder – in passing – if I suffer from depression. I took a psychology course though, so I know from experience if I start looking up “symptoms” – every single one will apply; but it doesn’t mean that I do.
It’s really hard to come up with 10 honest things when my entire blog is pretty honest…
Seven Blogs I think of When I See the Word Honest:
(not that I don’t think that all the blogs I read are honest…)
I buzzed Logan’s hair last night. I figured a walking kid deserved to look like a kid instead of a baby. The title is “first-ish” because I buzzed a few months ago just to get rid of all the whispies – but it didn’t really count π
Mike picked on me for posting a recipe last week, but I’m going to do it again anyway *grin*
As another companion to my Ladies of Loserville post, Iβm sharing my Burger Soup recipe. Like the Chicken Ole’, this one can be done in the crock pot or in a frying pan. I’ll include directions for both.
I have to say that Mike and I *love* this recipe. I make it at least once a week. You can use rice or pasta for either version…but the best way – in my opinion – is to use the rice in the crock pot version and pasta in the frying pan version. If I calculated correctly, one serving is 6 points. If you don’t add the cheese, it’s only 4 points.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. garlic
1/4 tsp. basil
1 envelope dry onion soup
3 Cups beef broth + water – boiling. (I use 1 can and then fill the rest with water, then pop into the microwave for 3 minutes)
1 8 oz. can tomato sauce
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 C. sliced carrots
1 C. cooked rice OR pasta (cooked and drained if in crock pot, dry if in frying pan – I use the curly, hollow pasta, Cellentani)
1/4 C. grated Parmesan cheese
Crock Pot Instructions:
Crumble beef into crock pot.
Add spices.
Mix in water, tomato sauce, and Worcestershire sauce.
Add carrots.
Cover and cook on low 6 – 8 hours.
Turn to high heat and add rice or pasta and Parmesan cheese.
When I picked Maggie up from school yesterday, Mrs. Teacher made a point of letting me know that Maggie chatted the whole day!! Go Maggie π Who knew that all I’d have to do is blog about it, and the silence would end π
Random Logan Updates
His thumb looks just fine
As I was walking out the door to take the twins to preschool yesterday, he cranked his head around his high chair, waved his fingers and said, very clearly, “Byeeeeeeee!” (I almost didn’t leave π )
Brenda says that he’s now taking more than just a few steps. Except that every time he sees me, he BOOKS it toward me cuz he can’t get to me fast enough – which means that he crawls – so I don’t get to see it! Soon…he’ll not want to crawl at all anymore, so I know I’ll see it soon π
Honestly
