This week is another scanned picture from my past. I’m guessing I was in the 4th grade here (1984?)

Would you believe that I’m still a Girl Scout? 🙂 I’m a life time member!

My senior year of High School I joined as an “individual” scout because no one else in my troop wanted to sign up. I had only a few things left to do to earn my Gold Award (highest award in GS’ing), so I figured “What the hell” and just did it.

Then took a few years “off” because I had no idea that I could still be a Girl Scout once I was out of school. When I moved to Massachusetts I ended up becoming a leader to a Brownie troop – a good friend’s daughter was in the troop, so she and I co-lead them until I had the twins. At that point, I became a life time member.

I figure I’ll get back into it when Maggie’s old enough to be a Daisy. I can’t wait! 🙂

In honor of my Dad’s birthday yesterday, he gets to be in this week’s WBW.

I have no idea when this was taken. I’m guessing I was 3 or 4 though. (1978?)

This one comes from 1983. I was in the 3rd grade and had just switched from a private school that closed (the teachers decided to get a divorce) to the public school.

A few things happened to cast me as Annie in the school musical of the same name: one of my private school teachers ended up being the music teacher at my public school, so she knew me; and the person who was originally cast as Annie moved away.

Now…before you get all impressed, let me explain that an elementary school “musical” is really just the music teacher assigning songs from the musical to the different classes and having those classes get up on stage to sing them in the right order. I just got to sing with more than one class (and may have had a solo or two 🙂 )

These pictures were taken of my other baby, Tiger, in 2004. We’d just gotten the fish tank…

I got my scanner working! Now, it’s just time constraints that thwart the scanning of old pictures. 🙂

This week’s photos come from the ’70s. *grin*

Holy COW look at all those patterns. Yikes! And yes, those were our kitchen cabinets…for a long, long time.

I must have been about Logan’s age here. I have a *lot* of memories playing on this thing…higher up when I got a little older. Growing up on a farm provided lots of “playground equipment” LOL

This one always makes me smile. And you can see where the red hair comes from 🙂 My Grandmother was tickled to pieces when Maggie came along with her bright red hair.

(Hm. I’ve always spelled Grandad’s name that way. Apparently, it’s supposed to have another “d” – who knew.)

This week’s post is from 2003. My sister got married on a snowy day in March…outside. It was a GORGEOUS wedding – and she was just radiating happiness.

Happy (almost) Anniversary, Sharon and Jason!
