Friday’s Fotos…on a Sunday

Since Debi isn’t doing the Baby Picture Sundays, and since I opted to do a Logan update on Friday…I’m putting up the “this is what we did this week” photos today 🙂

Burke was very proud that he’d learned a new “trick” and couldn’t wait to get me to go with him to the park to show me. 🙂 I have video as well…but I haven’t downloaded it from my Flip yet.

I had a really hard time convincing Logan that he had to go back to his own booster seat. He SOOOO wants to be a “big kid” !!

So the next day when it was just the two of us, I let him sit in Maggie’s seat. He was so excited!

Inside the Giga Ball has been a favorite past-time for Burke and Maggie. (They know not to roll it when they’re both inside.) Logan tried getting in with them but said it was “too busy” for him. LOL!

Burke also likes hanging out on top of the Giga Ball – with his butt in the opening. Goofball 🙂

Makes My Monday: Weekend Guests

Aunt Sharon, Uncle Jason, Cousin Grey, and Cousin Petra came to visit this weekend!

On Friday, we played outside with the Giga ball for a while and then Petra fell to sleep on me. (There’s nothing like a baby sleeping on your chest!)

On Saturday, we all met up with Aunt Cathy, Chris, and Matthew for fun at the Aquarium and then out to lunch.

Baby Picture Sundays

This week’s theme is See How He Runs. If I had my act together (do I ever??) I’d have taken some photos of Burke. The kid is *SUPER* fast.

Instead? I have photos and videos of the kids bopping around in their new Giga ball. (A Christmas present from Aunt Sharon and Uncle Jason…seemed fitting that we broke it out while they were here 🙂 )

Makes My Monday: Rays of Sunshine on Rainy Weekends

Despite being stuck inside with 3 cabin-fevered kids (and 2 cabin-fevered adults), and all the bickering that goes along with that…there were quite a few moments of sunshine in our house over the weekend.

We went to the local Japanese Steak House (the kind where they cook right in front of you), and had a GREAT time. The kids ate more than they do when we take them to other restaurants, and Maggie and Logan even mastered chopsticks! (Well, okay – so they’re the “kid” version of chopsticks where they band ’em together with rubber bands and a piece of paper, but I was still quite impressed!!)

Burke decided that he was too hungry and wanted to use a fork 😉 Can’t say that I blame him…those chopsticks are tricky!!

We also started to get Burke’s “Style” in place. (It’s only fair. Maggie’s is already there.)

He has new McQueen sheets too, but – obviously – they’re under the comforter. And he just picked out a few things to hang on the walls … more about that later 🙂

But the ray of sunshine here was that he wanted to share this with his siblings 🙂

Please excuse the fuzziness of Burke…he couldn’t stop bouncing because he was so excited. LOL!

These rays of sunshine (well behaved kids and sharing) that cut through our otherwise-very-rainy weekend TOTALLY Make My Monday.

Saturday Snapshot: New Shoes!

It took 2 stores to do it, but all three kids now have shoes that fit! Maggie is going to need to learn to tie her shoes…I’m a little afraid 😉

Makes My Monday: First Hockey Game

My Mom’s of Twins club got group tickets to a double-header hockey game yesterday. The first game was a CVS All-Star game that had players from Bruins past on each team mixed in with some seemingly random people who could skate. The second game was the Lowell Devils.

We went to the All-Star game only, but probably would have stayed for both if there hadn’t been an hour and a half wait in between. Sad that we didn’t see the Devils, but I don’t think we would have all made it through the whole thing.

Here’s a blurb from the website about the players who were there:

Boston Bruins forward Milan Lucic will be a special guest coach as former NHL players such as Bob Beers, Andy Brickley, John Bucyk, Ken Hodge, Ken Hodge Jr., Don Marcotte, John “Pie” McKenzie, Rick Middleton, Bobby Miller, Bob Sweeney, Don Sweeney and Tim Sweeney take the ice.

Bucyk and Sweeney skated CIRCLES around the rest! (Don’t ask me which Sweeney it was though…)

The kids had a BLAST! (I suspect part of that was the free bobble heads, the popcorn, Gaterade, and the fried bread dough though… 😉 )

Friday’s Fotos: Sleep

Over the past week, all three kids have prompted me to run for the camera while they were sleeping. (There’s just something about a sleeping kid. )

As you know, we moved the twins out of their toddler beds a few months ago.

So glad we got Maggie the big bed ...

The kids get to bring their juice cups up to bed with them (with very little juice in them). It’s a comfort item for them, and we see no real reason to remove it.

Lucky juice cup...I like Burke snuggles too!

As I usually do, I went in to check on Logan before heading to bed myself and saw that his Mickey Mouse was on his head. And when I tried to move it to the side, he grabbed it – still asleep – and pulled it back over his head. Okay then.

Makes My Monday: ALMOST Warm Enough

We had an impromptu outing to the park today. Had we been more prepared, we would have had hats and mittens for all of the kids (and adults! brrrr!)…but they had fun for the short time we were all able to stand the wind.
