Makes My Monday: Calm Times with Company

While Josh and Burke were playing video games, and Jaine was reading a book (that I recommended and she loves!!), I was able to read some too! πŸ™‚

Calm times while 5 kids are in the house TOTALLY Makes My Monday.

Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts this one. Head on over to see what else makes people’s Mondays (there are always some really good ones!)

Meeting For the First Time

Mike’s sister, kahki, is here with her two kids, Jaine (11) and Josh (7). This is the first time that all of the cousins have met!

They’re having a *blast* – Burke and Josh are like two peas in a pod (with Logan trailing after) and Maggie can’t get enough of Jaine. Luckily, Jaine is pretty tolerant and very patient πŸ™‚

"What'cha doing Josh?"

Mike's having fun too!

All Kids Can

CVS Caremark All Kids Can Baseball Camps is trying to find teams made up of kids with disabilities (physical and/or intellectual) to take part in one of nine free camps being offered this baseball season at Fenway Park!

The CVS Caremark All Kids Can Baseball Camps at Fenway Park provide New England children with disabilities an action-packed, dream-fulfilling experience playing ball and getting batting tips from Batting Coach Dave Magadan. The camps are part of CVS Caremark’s national philanthropic All Kids Can program, which focuses on helping children with disabilities learn, play and succeed in life.

HOW COOL IS THAT?! Do you know a New England based kid with disabilities who loves baseball? Spread the word!

Disclaimer: I wrote this blog post while participating in the TwitterMoms and CVS Caremark blogging program to be eligible to win a $50 gift card. I’d put it up anyway though because it’s an AWESOMEΒ  opportunity!!

Is It Just Me?

I know that I get grossed out by a lot of things…some are legitimate and some are probably not-so-much…but I can’t be the only one who gets the heeby jeebies by the milk crusties…right?

You know what I’m talking about…when you open a new gallon of milk, there’s always the white crusty/flaky stuff that falls off (dried milk, I’m guessing…). And of course, if I’m not paying attention, it usually falls off and right into my cereal or the kids’ cups. EWW!!

Lately, I’ve noticed that a certain brand has those crusties every single time I open the milk!! This brand has the twist-off cap instead of the pop-off cap, so I don’t know if that has anything to do with it…but I think I’m going to avoid that brand from now on – if I can.

It’s a good thing I don’t use milk all that often…I really don’t like it that much…but this is just the icing on the cake. πŸ˜›

Makes My Monday: Memorial Memories

Our town has a really nice parade every Memorial day. And it happens to go right by the end of our street! We met up with my sister Cathy, her boyfriend and his son and a few of our neighbors. After the parade, everyone came back to our house and hung out for some BBQ – Mike’s specialty πŸ™‚

SO Not Looking Forward To This Day…

Came out to the car to find this image…yikes!! πŸ˜‰

Saturday Snapshot: First Garden

I mentioned the second garden yesterday…this is the first one we planted: watermelon, zucchini, summer squash, cucumbers, pumpkins, and decorative gourds.
