November’s Car Accident

…Our parked car was hit right before Thanksgiving. The dude driving (home…at 5 am on a Sunday) hit our car and then bounced off it to hit another car…parked on the other side of the street.

It’s all fixed now 🙂

Biking

Maggie on her big bike…with no training wheels!!

MMOTA State Conference

Best workshop ever. We learned how to mix drinks!!

Happy Halloween

Wario, Rapunzel, and Storm Shadow

Tick, Tick, Tick…

Boom.

Maggie picked up a tick – attached to the upper fold of her ear!! – while we were in Vermont for Easter. Ah, the joys of a Sunrise Service on a beautiful hill-top that is also a cow field 😉

So…that was Sunday morning. However, she didn’t mention anything about her ear hurting until MONDAY morning. And that was only to let me know that tucking her hair behind her ear hurt a bit. I looked quickly and at first glance it looked like she had a few scratches in her ear…until I realized that it was LEGS. (barf!!!)

Ya. “Uhm, Mike!!! I NEEEEED YOU!!!” Thank God he hadn’t left for work yet!

We were able to remove the body (SO.GROSS.), but the head was clearly staying put. Yep – Maggie stayed home from school because I was *SURE* the doctor would want to see her. Of course, I couldn’t get a hold of Dr. Pedi until we were already on our way to a different doctor for Logan (Dr. Neck for the nodules in his throat. What? I haven’t mentioned this before? Hm. Next post, I guess). Dr. Pedi didn’t need to see Maggie. I could have sent her to school. HRM. They just need us to watch her for the next 30 days and see if she shows any signs of…well…anything.

So…Tuesday morning, Maggie wakes up and is coughing (not unusual – we ALL are). But she’s coughing so much that she makes herself sick. And at that point I was 99% sure that it’s ONLY because she’d been coughing. (She didn’t even cough for the rest of the day!!) Day 2 of no school for Maggie. OY!

Wednesday went by without a hitch…until bed time. Maggie starts complaining that her arms are itchy. Cue the panic in mom…as a rash is one of the things we’re supposed to be looking for!! Anyway, pretty sure it’s just dry skin, but we’re obviously keeping a close eye on it.

Fingers crossed that it’s nothing!!

Summer Planning

…or wishful thinking?

There’s still snow on the ground thanks to a snow-day-inducing storm we had on Tuesday, but I still need to get things in order for Summer.

This year, the kids are SUPER excited that their cousin will be coming to visit from Colorado. We’re not sure exactly when – or for how long – he’ll be here, but we can’t wait!

I’ve also signed all three up for a week-long sports camp, and a week-long tennis lesson (well, the lessons are only for an hour each morning that one week).

We’ll be headed to Vermont for a week, and I think we’re planning a Staycation for a week.

The rest of the time..? I’m hoping that the pool we purchased last year made it through the winter so we can hang out in it! 🙂

Here We Go Again

So….yep. It’s been a while. Again. LOTS has happened since I last posted. I’m going to try to make a go with this again. 🙂 (NO promises!!)

So, what’s the same? In a nutshell…I’m still a Stay-at-Home mom…and still LOVING it. I like being here for the kids while they’re trying to do their homework after school. And I like being able to take them to all of their after-school activities. And I like playing “Star Wars” and sword fighting with Logan while the other kids are at school.

So, what’s new? Well…I’m now also a Thirty-One Gifts consultant. I’m not allowed to really write about it – selling-wise – on my blog – so if you want to know more…ask me 🙂 But I’m LOVING that too! I decided to join when I found that I had a whole bunch of their products anyway…and every time I went out carrying one of their bags, someone would ask me about it and I’d basically be selling the stuff anyway 😉 I started selling in January and I just have to say – this is THE BEST direct sales company I’ve ever worked for (and I’ve actually worked for 3 others…)

So…keep a look-out for more posts from me. I really am going to try to get at this blogging thing again 😉

Oh My, Time to Catch up!!

Wow. What the heck HAPPENED?? Lazy? no…well – maybe a little. Busy? Heck ya!! I’m more busy now than when I was working full time 🙂

I’m going to start back-filling – please excuse the use of publishing posts with the dates things happened…today. (Did that even make sense??) Anyway – there are more “new” posts coming. Below.

Random Cat Posting

I was finally able to get a good shot of Jinx!

And Rumor is definitely feeling at home now

Rumor and Mike

HOWEVER, they’ve completely killed the shower curtains (more than once!)

I see you, Rumor!

I need some cat-proof shower curtains!!

Madagascar 3 Party!

“Dat dat dadi da ta da ta circus, dat dat dadi da ta afro, circus, afro, circus, afro, polka dot, polka dot, polka dot, afro.”

.

Ya. That’s my ring tone right now. 🙂 Makes me smile whenever anyone calls. 🙂

Anyway…Crowdtap sent along some neato information and stuff for having a Madagascar 3 party! I had a lot of fun planning for it, and a lot of fun at it. I mean…the kids had a lot of fun at it! 😉

We, of course, had rainbow (afro) wigs!

I put streamers up under the canopy to look like a circus big top 🙂

We had bubbles that came in bottles with animals on the top and I made zebra cupcakes 🙂
