I’m not one for Valentine’s Day. I think it’s a crappy holiday designed to put undo pressure on a lot of couples and undo sadness on those who aren’t in a couple but want to be.
I like the idea of celebrating your loved one (or loved ones if you include your kids in the celebration); but shouldn’t you be celebrating your loved one every day? I’m not saying go out and get a card or buy candy and flowers for your loved ones every day – but definitely make them feel loved every day!!
Alright, now that I sound like the Scrooge of Valentine’s Day…let me just say, that I can also sit back and reflect on what a wonderful guy I have. And how incredibly lucky I am to have found him! (And even more lucky that I haven’t scared him away yet π )Β And I’m glad to have a day to devote to him …and to let him know how I feel. (BUT – I still hope I make him feel like that every day…not just today.)
Happy Valentine’s Day, Mike! I love you – today and every day. π

YES to everyday! Your wisdom Makes My Monday, Nancy! Thanks for playing along!
Stupid, asinine Holiday. Brian and I boycotted it the first year we were married.
I had to get some Capri Suns for my kids party and the woman who checked me out asked “how is your Valentine’s Day going?” I replied, “I don’t celebrate it, I find it an insipid Holiday for men and a degrading Holiday for women.”
She just stared. lol
Uh…Happy Valentine’s Day!

And, his momma made him that way! Grin. Love you guys.
Too funny that we both used the word “sappy” in our V’day posts. lol
I totally agree with your sentiments.
