Mike signed up to help with some community service through our church. They were supposed to have one day of going out into the community and helping some of the older folks of our congregation with outside cleanup. Unfortunately, the weather that day was terrible. Fortunately, there is a woman who needs help on our street. Double fortunately, that means that Mike can pass along the good-deed-doing-gene to the kids because they can go along with him and see what helping others is all about!
Getting my kids involved in community service Makes My Monday.
Cheryl over at Twinfatuation hosts this one. Head on over to see what else makes people’s Mondays (there are always some really good ones!)

I can’t wait for my kids to be old enough to do something like this.
Someone once said, “Volunteer work is the rent we pay for our space on earth!” Love it that you’re “indoctrinating” the kids while they are young.
Look at your wee weeders! PRECIOUS! They Make My Monday, too. 🙂
Great idea!
