Stain

Step 3 in our kitchen renovations! (Step 1 was new curtains. Step 2 was painting.) Step 4 – the biggie – is supposed to be happening next week. I’m.so.freakin.excited!!!!!

I’m going to use the “After” picture from the new curtain post as the “Before” one here.

Mike worked SO hard on this. (I helped a little bit, but he really did the lion’s share.) We used a product called Stripeeze to get all the white paint off…which really worked well – except in all the nooks and crannies of the window sill itself. That took a lot of elbow grease in addition to the Stripeeze.

  1. I love the look of natural grain, and cringe when I see old houses add paint on it. I know it’s supposed to “update” a house, but the wood is so gorgeous! good job!

  2. Wow! It really is a whole new — beautiful — look. Love it and looking forward to seeing it in the flesh (the wood?) soon.
