Is It Just Me?

I recently had this conversation with myself. (Don’t worry, it was all in my head.)

Me: I wonder why so-and-so hasn’t come over in a while.

Self: Have you invited so-and-so over lately?

Me: No, but they should know that it’s always an open invite to our house.

Self: Have you been there lately?

Me: No.

Self: Why not?

Me: I haven’t been invited.

ohhhhhhh.

Of course you and the other half are always invited here too. I think the last time you both were here was the party years ago.
