I have a stack of box tops waiting to head to Burke and Maggie’s school – the Parent Advisory Committee (of which I’m treasurer) collects them. I think this year alone, we’ve earned over $500 through box tops! (Hm. I should probably know the exact number as treasurer, but I don’t have that in front of me right now…) Anyway – it’s FREE money for the school if you get the parents involved. Who doesn’t want free money??
I can’t even believe all the stuff Box Tops for Education through MyBlogSpark sent to me! And all of it – of course – has box tops that I can use for Burke and Maggie’s school! Everything fit in this super-huge Ziploc bag (seriously, you could fit a comforter in this thing). In no particular order: Hi-Lighters, ZooPals funtensils, Avery NoteTabs, Avery PocketTabs, Avery Name Tags, a USB thumb drive, a tumbler (that is perfect for my iced tea!), Hefty paper (well, not-really-paper) plates, Hefty plastic cups, Ziploc freezer bags, Ziploc Twist ‘n Loc containers, a Golden Grahams bar, a Box Tops car decal, a Box Tops magnet, a packet (not pictured because I forgot) of Land O Lakes coupons, a box (not pictured because I put it away and forgot about it) of cereal, and two (not pictured because I already ate them) Chex Mix single-serve bags.
Guess what? I get to give one of these prize packs away!!!
Here’s the official blurb they provided:
Since 1996, schools have earned more than $375 million through Box Tops for Education, a program that allows you to give back to your local school. With Box Tops coupons available on over 250 products, it’s easy to start clipping and collecting to help local schools in need. Keep an eye out for Box Tops and start your own collection today. Whoo-hoo!!! We have sent in a ton with Audrey to school. So YES…our school collects box-tops.
Our fav box-top item (well Audrey’s) is Toaster Strudels! I win a healthy mom award for this one!
Now to figure out the tweet link. 😉
tweet….tweet….tweet….
Yup, we collect BoxTops too, although I have to say I’m not very good at sending them in. We have the bag on the counter with stuff in it from the beginning of the year! We get most of them from the Yogurt stix 🙂
oh and I tweeted but yah, not sure how to post here…

Hamburger helper
My school collects Box Tops for Education! In fact we have a yearly contest to see which classroom is able to collect the most!
Lucky Charms is one of my family’s favorite BTFE product! Pillsbury (Grands, etc.) is another fav… although they make it a pain to remove the “tops” from those products 😦
You bet we do collect them – I’m the box top parent for our PTA – last big push we got nearly $900 (that’s a lot of counting on my part)
My favorite box top item – ZipLoc bags – b/c I always need them & they don’t go bad – and the BT is easy to get off (vs. Soup cans – I always mess those up)
My children are grown now, but I used to save labels and box tops for their schools all the time. It is a great help to the schools. Now I save them for my Nephew and Nieces school. I am so glad that these companies do this. 🙂
