…because it was supposed to be! π
Our town had its annual Horribles Parade yesterday. Apparently, they’ve had over 40 of them…I find that pretty cool, and it makes me love our new town that much more.
Anyway…we all lined up behind the fire truck. And when I say “we all” I mean, pretty much all of the kids and their parents in the town!! Or at least, it seemed like it.
All of the kids (and some adults) dressed up to march from the fire house to the high school (about 1/2 mile maybe?). There were a *lot* of really cool costumes.
As you can see, since pretty much everyone was in the parade, there were not a lot of spectators. I think I saw a total of 10 people watching…
Maggie insisted on walking down the yellow line. And she walked with her skirt in her hand – very princess-like.
Logan didn’t have a nap at all yesterday, but was – again – a very good little guy. He was just taking in the sights along the way.
When we reached the high school, we asked the fire men if it would be okay to take a picture of Burke in front of the fire truck.
Oh, and before we left for the parade, I just couldn’t resist this shot…

Adorable pix! I have to say, I got annoyed b/c I got stuck b/c of that parade! I mean, we were trying and trying to go around it but had no luck. We ditched our efforts and just hopped on the highway. I have no idea why even attempted trying to find a detour over that parade!
How fun! Our town has only had a Halloween parade twice, once when I organized it the year before getting preggo with the twins. And, I just don’t have the energy again. UGH!
Looked like a great time & I love the costumes!!!!
I am lovin’ the tiger man.
Great pictures.
Cool parade! And love that last picture.
Your princess and tiger are precious! — But that shot of Fireman Burke has got to be the coolest Halloween costume picture of all time!
How cool! I’ve never heard of a parade like that. Sounds like fun!
