So, what’d you think?
It basically states that being a mom trying to meet other moms is as nerve wracking as when you were single trying to meet a guy. I couldn’t agree more!! Of course, with my twins club, we have a similar “online dating” club as the one mentioned in the article. And with my blog, I’ve found more “like minds” – so that’s cool.
But … I totally get the being nervous at the school drop-off and pick-up. I’m always looking around and thinking “Man. They’ve got it so together…here I am in my baseball cap again because I just couldn’t fit the shower in BEFORE I dropped these guys off. *sigh* ”
And THEN I remember the few times I was sitting at Burke’s Speech class and the mommies with baseball caps came in to pick their kids up. At that time I thought “Man. She probably just came from the gym…she’s got it so together.” But…what if she was just like me and didn’t get her shower in before picking up her kids? Blows the mind 🙂
