A Horrible Day

I COULD be talking about how it snowed today…yes – in October! – but I’m not.

Or I COULD be talking about how we haven’t had power since 10:00 last night (about 20 hours now)…and we’ve been told that it could be DAYS until we get it back – but I’m not.

Today was our town’s Horribles Parade – and the kids had a blast 🙂

Go Pats!

Mike and I went to the Patriot’s/Cowboys game yesterday! It was my very first football game ever – at any level (unless Flag Football counts…)

It was so much fun!! A LOOOOONG day though. 10 hours to be exact. We drove to the subway, took the subway to South Station, took the Patriot’s Train to Gillette Stadium, watched the game…and then reversed the whole thing. Crazy fun 🙂

Guess Who ELSE Lost a Tooth?

Maggie lost her first tooth at school today!

She tells me that she was wiggling it after Gym class and POP! out it came into her hand.

Guess Who Lost a Tooth?

Burke lost his very first tooth today!!

This morning, I tried to pull it out, but it wouldn’t quite come out for me. I turned around to help Logan with something while Burke brushed his teeth…and heard "Uh Mom? I lost my tooth!" 🙂

He’s had ‘shark tooth’ going on…so his adult tooth has already popped up. The dentist says his tongue will push it back into the right spot.

Breathing a Little Easier

I realized that I haven’t posted anything about the nanny situation lately…

I’m (incredibly) happy to report that WE HAVE A NANNY!! She’s been with us for 3 weeks now (this is the start of week 4), and she’s been really great so far. I mean – she shows up and everything! 😉

The kids seem to really like her, and she’s been really good about going with the flow of the Zoo craziness. She’s pretty even-tempered – which seems to have a nice calming impact on the kids (and me). And Higgins adores her. 🙂

It was a LOOOOONG 5 weeks while we did our search. And I’m afraid I wasn’t a very good stay-at-home-mom OR work-from-home-employee during that time. I’m just happy it’s behind me and I can start concentrating again 🙂

Punkin

We went to the pumpkin patch with Cousin Grey and Cousin Petra today 🙂

Early Birthday Present

Mike gave me a new (42 inch) TV and a new TV stand for my birthday!!

Tiger!

Last night was the Boy Scout Pack bonfire. All of the Cub Scouts and their families were invited to the scout master’s house for a ceremony and to roast marshmallows.

Burke is a Tiger scout!
(And I’m one of the assistant leaders for his Den…)

Logan’s Kid Party

We celebrated Logan’s birthday at GymStreet today. We figured we’d wait until school started so he could invite all of his classmates.

Lots of bouncy houses, gym class time, pizza, and cake. I think everyone had a good time 🙂

But I’m a Cheerleader!

Maggie gets to practice in uniform tonight 🙂
