Little League!

Burke has started Little League. And he’s pretty good at it too. (Surprise, surprise.)

Our town starts out the season with a parade! The entire league marches – from the Rookies all the way through to the “Majors” – have I mentioned lately that I love our town?

Burke is a Dodger – #16.

Another Tooth Down

Maggie lost a top tooth today 🙂

(I don’t think I wrote about the 3rd one she lost…that wasn’t even loose. Burke helped a bit with that one. Oops.)

Soccer!

Maggie (finally) decided she wants to play soccer again!!

When sign-ups started – months ago – I asked Maggie if we should sign her up for Spring soccer…figuring she’d say “YES!” because she’d finally started to look like she liked it toward the end of Spring Season, AND she was getting better at it. No dice. So…I asked about every other week or so to see if she’d changed her mind. Nope. Until, that is, my friend D came to visit.

D has coached soccer for about 20 years and she’s REALLY good at it. Her daughter is Maggie’s age, so she’s coaching this age group. We somehow got on the topic of soccer while she was here (surprise, surprise) and she asked Maggie if she’d be playing. “No.” Thank God for D – she then said, “What if I’m your coach, would you play then?” Maggie practically leaped out of her seat and screamed “YES!!” I was like, “Wait – you can do that? She’d definitely be on your team?” Turns out – she can! 🙂

So, Maggie is having the time of her life and LOVING soccer. She wants to play forever – as long as D is her coach. . . which D says can happen. Sweet!

New England Air Museum

Burke’s overnight at the New England Air Museum was sooooooooo cool. We had a fun time looking at all of the neat things there.

The Boy Scouts are spending the night at the New England Air Museum. Holy cow – it’s awesome here! More pictures of Burke to come…

Easter Egg Hunt

The kids went to the Easter egg hunt at my hometown church today. 🙂

Masks

I love the kids’ imaginations 🙂 I got masks for $1 from AC MOORE that the kids colored and then used to act out various scenes.

Maggie figured out that if she stuck the stick part in her shirt, she doesn’t have to hold it. LOL!

Dress-up Dresser

I am LOVING Pinterest. There are so many yummy recipes to try, household tips to learn, and super creative ideas to be found.

One such idea was turnning an old dresser into a dress-up box. We happen to have a few old dressers hanging around, so I showed Mike the picture and – handy man that he is – he upcycled it! He took all of the drawers out except the bottom one, put a bottom over that drawer, secured one of the drawer fronts to that bottom to make a bin, added a rod to hang clothes, took all the extra knobs off, and put those knobs on the side to hang the hats.

I think it turned out so great! We need to add a few more spots to hang hats, but other than that – LOVE IT!!

Pokemon Obsessed

Someone (*ahem* Burke) put a little something extra on my grocery list…

UPDATE: Turns out it was *MAGGIE* who wrote this!

Crazy Clothes Day

It was Crazy Clothes Day at Logan’s school today 🙂
