On any given day, you’ll probably find 3 or 4 sticks of lip balm on my person.
In my pocket right now is a fantastic one that I received in my stocking: Time & Again Sparkling Fruit. In the front pocket of my purse is the Blistex Melon Medley. Inside my purse is the Blistex Complete Moisture. I have Blistex Moisture Splash in my cosmetics bag. (Along with a Burt’s Bees Shimmer, a Softlips, and Mary Kay’s Satin Lips.) As you can see – I’m obsessed.
But…I have to wonder if it’s a case of “the more you put on, the more you’ll need” – something like, your lips stop “making” their own protection because they’re so used to it being right there for them all the time. Something to ponder.

I always left them in pants pockets and they would go through the wash. So I really only put some Aquafore on my lips when I put it on the kids cheeks at their bedtime. And I put some moisturizer on them when I moisturize my face in the AM. I don’t often have chap lip issues…not sure what that proves.
I’ve always wondered the same thing — also about facial moisturizer, dry (or oily) hair shampoo, hand lotion . . . . and then how about medication? If you take a medication because something is out of whack like blood pressure, allergies, etc., do you have to keep taking it because your body forgets how to do what it was supposed to, or did your body forget and that’s why you’re taking it and you need to keep taking it after that because once your body forgets it never remembers again. Yeah, I know, the party line is the latter and that’s what they teach us in class, but sometimes I wonder.
LOL – I think you described me to at tee. I just started my relationship with Burt’s Bees and I’m quite in love 🙂
You do sound a little bit addicted, lol! I use it too, but in moderation.
I’m addicted.
I love plain old chapstick.
