Mike just found out today that the paper he’s been working on *very* hard for a *very* long time is going to be PUBLISHED!!!!
The publication Molecular Cell is running:
Small molecule inhibitors of HIF-2a translation link its 5′-UTR Iron-Responsive Element (IRE) to oxygen sensing
What’s all that mean? Good stuff is happening in his cancer research. 🙂

Congratulations to Mike! As someone who pursued an academic research career for a few years myself (I ditched out after grad school), I know what an accomplishment it is to get a paper accepted. Nice journal, too!
