Maggie says this to me throughout the day: when I’m carrying her down the stairs, when I’m brushing her hair, if I’m about to tip something – or someone – over…
Each time she says it, it cracks me up – cuz I’d love to be purple for a day! And it’s one of her favorite colors (right there after pink – whose girly girl is this??), so how cool would it be to turn the favorite color of one of your kids (for a day, anyway)?
What she’s REALLY trying to say to me is what we say to her all day long: “Be careful, Mommy.” I love this colorful (pun intended) reminder to me – especially since she says it at the appropriate times.
So, yes, dear Maggie. I will be purple.

AH cute! Yip. and quite appropriate – you will be purple if you slip and fall on the stairs for instance..
Oh my gosh, that’s so cute!
My husband asked my daughter what color she wanted to paint her room, and she said “purple that changes to red.” Children think anything is possible. Maggie probably does think that it’s possible for you to be purple!
That is too cute! I love it!! Be purple!
What a precious testimony to your kiddos’ caring for you!
🙂 Darling, darling. That is so one of those “things said” that make blogging such a marvelous means to document the precious that might be forgotten with time. 🙂 Plus this way, WE get to share the glee too! 🙂
That’s adorable! I think I’ll start saying that when I need to remind someone to be careful.
Oh sweet!
And don’t worry, both of my boys’ favorite color is pink. “I love pink” they say regularly. They sure didn’t get that love of pink from me! ;0
Be purple today!
