…by accident. *sigh*
I’m no longer strapped to the pump at work. After our staycation, I forgot to pump the last two days. oops. 😦 Most of me is doing a little dance. I no longer have to worry that I’ll forget to lock the door and someone is going to walk in on me (I swear I check that thing 3 or 4 times…). And I no longer have to sit in the cold locker room…in front of a mirror because that’s where the only outlet is…And I no longer have to PUMP!!
But – it also means that I’m giving up the *only* 10 – 15 minutes a day that I was able to read! (no happy dance about that part.)
It also means that Logan is only getting breast milk in the morning and at night. Which is okay – he *is* over 10 months old now. But he’s also not getting a lot of ‘regular’ milk – he doesn’t seem to like it all that much, and he’s really not old enough yet to be getting it anyway. So that means we rely on a lot of very watered down juice throughout the day…and I’m not sure how I feel about that.

I remember that liberating feeling with The Little Miss – only reason I am still doing it is because we are still in the midst of winter. Why don’t you try a good formula for daytime feeds until about age 2 and then go to regular milk?
You’re so lucky! I will never be free. At the rate we’re going, Cakes will still be nursing when she goes to Kindergarten.
I remember that feeling — I hated pumping; my middle DD discovered at 6 months when we introduced a sippy cup that she could get it faster that way; so I had to pump A LOT until she was 1; then I couldn’t take it anymore. We put her on vanilla soymilk and she loved it! Maybe you could try adding a little flavoring like vanilla to the milk just to get more in the babe. Just a thought
I understand — loving the new freedom over here too! As I dropped feedings with my little one starting at 10 1/2 months I added whole milk–didn’t seem to bother him. But he didn’t seem to like it at all. So I added flavoring (sugar free chocolate–I know sounds crazy but it worked) for 1 to 2 weeks…then took the flavoring slowly out. Now at 12 1/2 months he is fully weaned and a milk-a-holic! 🙂
