Crooked Teeth

Logan now has two (very crooked) teeth. They’re kind of in the shape of an up-side-down V. If you look closely, you can see:

Crooked Teeth

I’ve talked with the dentist who says not to worry until more teeth come in…but geeez, how can you not? I guess there could be worse things, and they ARE kind of cute…but can you say CHA CHING when the braces are needed πŸ˜‰

On a related but not totally related note, Logan had his 10 month appointment today. He’s average in head circumference and height, but only in the 5th percentile for weight (only gained 2 pounds in 4 months). And here we thought that he was getting huge πŸ˜› Time to pack on the pounds kiddo.Β  Anyone have any pound-packing, baby-friendly food ideas?

  1. I could give you the list of high calorie foods we tried for the girls, but none of them ever worked. We’ve come to accept that they are just going to be tall, skinny girls.

By the way, he’s darn cute. Can’t wait to meet him in person.

  2. Indeed, I have a 6th-percentile peanut, and I think that’s just her thing.

That said, I have four words for you:

    A. Vo. Ca. Do.

Mmmmmmmm. Mashed with banana, swirled in with yogurt, cut up in chunks as finger food (and tossed in cereal crumbs so it’s not so slippery). I think my kids eat an avocado nearly every day.

Just beware, it stains like a bitch.

  3. My suggestions: Oatmeel, Avocado and Banana. You can even try to mix some extra virgen olive oil into the avocado – great healthy oils and calories. The banana and oatmeel is great together and so is banana and avo.
