Wow. What Happened??

So…apparently when you miss that first post it IS a down-hill slide from there. Dang. I’ve been having a terrible time remembering to post lately 😦

A few minor, completely unrelated updates:

Burke and Maggie have 1.5 more days of Kindergarten left and then I’ll have 2 FIRST graders in my house!! It hardly seems possible.

Logan had another Dr. Endo appointment. Since January, he’s gone up 2% in height and 10% in weight. Not quite what they’re looking for. . . I had to gently break it to Nanny C. that she had to stop treating Logan to McDonalds, Burger King, and Dunkin Donuts each week. Yikes!

I’m not sure if I ever mentioned that I will not be the president for my town’s mom’s club. I just couldn’t do it. I did, however, find myself agreeing to be a co-leader for Burke’s Cub Scout troopΒ  next year. And I’m not sure, but it really looks like I may have just been roped into singing with the church singing group, Joyful Noise (or JoyNoi as they call themselves). We’ll see about that one…I haven’t sung in public for a long, long time.

My Aunt (my mom’s sister) passed away on Sunday. She was only 61. It was not unexpected, but still a bit surprising. I say “not unexpected” because she had been suffering from early onset Alzheimer’s for the past 10 years.

One month until my Sister gets married!! (Crap. I still need to find a dress…)

Purple Hair

A few of the ladies in our town held a fundraiser for Relay for Life. They charged a few bucks (or more…) to put in purple hair extensions.

I like it because it’s not IN YOUR FACE…it just peeks out every now and again πŸ™‚

The New Dog Kennel

Mike put together the new dog kennel today! It’s 5X10X6 and came with a sun shade.

It is essential to learn more about therapy dogs if you own a service animal.

This isn’t for him to be in whenever he’s outside…no, he’ll still have run of the entire back yard for most of the time. This is for if we have to run inside for a little bit and the kids are still outside (NOT good to leve kids and dogs alone!), or if the kids want to play baseball or soccer or some other sport that revs Higgins up too much. When you need emotional support animal physician letter services, visit onlinedogtor.com for more details.

This way, we don’t have to haul him inside each time πŸ™‚ Whenever your dog or other pets urinate at your house you can easily remove the stain and odor by visiting OdorKlenz urine odor removal and using their products.

He doesn’t love it…but he doesn’t hate it either…so that’s good!

Soccer Patches

Burke and Maggie received their soccer participation patches today. They don’t hand out trophies and since they’re technically not supposed to keep score, they don’t do top teams or anything either.

This was the first week that Burke’s team lost…he didn’t take it well. We’re gonna have to work on that whole ‘losing gracefully’ thing…

At Least She Has Her Friends…

Maggie came home from school yesterday and told me that Charlie didn’t want to marry her anymore…he wouldn’t write their “books” together, and he stopped holding her hand at circle time.

She seemed…sad and a bit confused…but definitely not heartbroken.

Charlie’s mom found out that he now thinks girls are gross (and they have babies!! Ack!) LOL! I was wondering when that stage was going to hit πŸ˜‰

Looks like Maggie’s friends have her back though because this note come home in her backpack:

They’re Probably Gonna Need a Bath…

…but they’re hving fun playing with the pastels and charcoal! LOL!

Sunday Card Games

Burke, Maggie, and Logan learned how to play Uno today. We’re playing face-up (for now) …but it’s still loads of fun!

Saturday Snapshot: Play Ball!

A "real" game of catch between Mike and Burke πŸ™‚

Makes My Monday: Memorial Day BBQs

Mike loves to fire up the grill…and we love having people over – especially when it means the kids have friends over too!

Saturday Snapshot: Cars Slip n’ Slide

It’s a wee bit too chilly for ME to hit the water, but the kids are having a fantastic time on their Cars Slip n’ Slide πŸ™‚
